MSME-TESTING CENTRE, CHENNAI [Formerly Regional Testing Centre (SR)] is one among the four Regional Testing Centre established by the Government of India in the year 1976,MSME TC, Chennai started as a Material testing laboratory in the year 1976. Over the years it has evolved into a multi disciplinary laboratory with facilities for testing and calibration in the fields of Mechanical, Electrical, Thermal and testing of building materials, water, paint, cement to name a few. Our Client base include leading industries, MSME units apart from various Government Departments like Defence, Indian Railways, Central Public Works Department, Bureau of Indian Standards, Airport Authority of India etc.

NABL accreditation: The success of TC, Chennai lies in its accreditations. We have obtained our first NABL accreditations way back in 2001 and continued to sustain and enlarge our scope to cover 8 fields of activities and BIS accreditation for 28 products and AERB accreditation. TC, Chennai is constantly endeavouring to increase and enhance the NABL scope.

Swachhta: MSME TC, Chennai is adopting stringent standards of cleanliness and hygiene and motivated by our Prime Ministers’ call for Swachh Bharat, we have taken all out efforts in maintaining utmost cleanliness and hygiene and dissemination of information on Swachhta to the general public. It is with pride we state that our work has been recognised by Headquarters and we are the proud recipients of the Swachhatha award from our Hon’ble Minister for MSME. Continuing the efforts in the direction, we have a road map for conducting awareness programme of disposal of E-waste, plastics, and steel scrap in association with Tamilnadu Pollution Control Board and concerned association. For bringing about an awareness on students, competitions and rally highlighting the theme of ‘’swachhtha’’ was organised. To make awareness to students about the importance of maintaining a clean and green environment, as a part of the programme, various saplings have been distributed and also planted in the villages and schools.

Successfully implemented Bharat khosh: Keeping in view of our Hon’ble Prime Minister’s clarion call for ‘Digital India’, we took a lead in the direction and in a record span of time, MSME TC, Chennai have moved over to 100% cashless transaction with the successful implementation of Bharat Khosh and the transition has been smooth without any hassles to customers.
