General Administration Division




Duties and Function


    1. Work relating to maintenance of service records, fixation of pay etc. in respect of all Gazetted and Non-Gazetted Officials, maintenance of Leave account, Medical facilities etc.

    2. Processing of various Bills through PFMS (Public Financial Management System)

    3. Implementation and monitoring of New Aadhar Enabled Bio-metric Attendance System (AEBAS).

    4. By Floating eTenders through Government E-Marketting (GeM) Procurement of Machinery & Equipment for all Technical Divisions were coordinated by Admn.

    5. Purchase of Computers, Printers, UPSs, ACs, Inverters, telephones, photocopiers etc.

    6. The Warranty / Guranttee period for all the Machineries were tracked and Annual Maintenance Contracts were signed with the Supplier / Vendors

    7. Processing of bills for payment of telephones - Office/Residential and other items procured by the Section.

    8. Issue of formal administrative sanctions to meet office expenditure from contingencies in respect of expenditure incurred by Laboratories.

    9. Issue of Identity cards

    10. Hiring of Manpower on outsourcing basis through authorised Agencies

    11. Liason with Board of Apprentiship Training (BOAT) for giving onsite training to the Students recommended by them

    12. Except technical activities in conducting NABL / BIS Audit, all other protocol assistances were provided for Lead Auditors

    13. Coordination with the officials of CPWD - Civil and Electrical for all maintenance work of the office.

    14. Corresponses with headquarters office for obtaining sanctions for all purchases, sending periodical reports on the expenditure incurred etc.

    15. Implementation of 'Rashtra Basha' in day to day correspondences, sending Officials to Hindi Coaching Classes, conducting Hindi fortnight etc.

    16. Disposal of RTI related matters and handling the Court Cases

    17. Coordination with the Officials from O/o PAO or O/o Account General in conducting Administrative Audit. Also Settlement of audit objections / paras.

    18. Preparation and submission of Income Tax returns on quarterly basis as well as annually to Income Tax Department.

    19. In addition to above any other work assigned by our headquarters were disposed off.
